About Dr. Miller
Dr. Miller’s roots in Arkansas go back to the 1870s, and returning recently allowed him to reconnect with the place his family has called home for generations. His counseling journey began in pastoral care, where he spent many years supporting individuals and couples in Oklahoma, Virginia, and Georgia. Over time, that calling grew into a passion for clinical mental health, leading him to become both a licensed professional counselor and a counselor educator. He has now worked in the clinical field for more than 12 years.
He holds degrees from the University of Central Oklahoma, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Liberty University, where he completed both his MA in Professional Counseling and his PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. As an assistant professor, Dr. Miller teaches in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program and enjoys guiding doctoral students through the research process as they develop their dissertations.
In his counseling practice, Dr. Miller works with adolescents through senior adults, helping clients navigate anxiety, anger, depression, and trauma with compassion, skill, and a deep commitment to their growth.
